Excel Files not Opening

Attempting to open and view an Excel file after downloading the file provides an error message and the file is unable to open. 

Possible Reason: 

• Microsoft Excel Settings are set to Protected View 

Common Symptoms: 

• After downloading file from the system and attempting to open the file, an error message is received and file will not open.

Troubleshooting Steps: 

• Add, Remove, or change a trusted location in Microsoft Office
• Repair a corrupted workbook
